They’re creepy, they’re kooky and they’re officially on sale! Tickets are now available for the highly anticipated Broadway musical version of The Addams Family. Based on the bizarre and beloved family of characters created by cartoonist Charles Addams, the show will begin previews at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on March 4, 2010. Opening night is set for April 8.
The Addams Family finds the famously macabre family put to the test when outsiders come to dinner, hurling Gomez, Morticia, Wednesday, Pugsley, Fester, Grandmama and Lurch headlong into a night that will change the family forever.
Nathan Lane stars as Gomez and Bebe Neuwirth as Morticia, with Krysta Rodriguez as Wednesday, Adam Riegler as Pugsley, Kevin Chamberlin as Fester, Jackie Hoffman as Grandmama and Zachary James as Lurch. Also featured in the cast are Carolee Carmello as Alice Beineke, Terrence Mann as Mal Beineke and Wesley Taylor as Lucas Beineke.
The ensemble includes Merwin Foard, Jim Borstelmann, Erick Buckley, Colin Cunliffe, Rachel de Benedet, Valerie Fagan, Matthew Gumley, Fred Inkley, Morgan James, Clark Johnsen, Barrett Martin, Jessica Lea Patty, Liz Ramos, Samantha Sturm, Charlie Sutton and Alena Watters.
The Addams Family features a score Andrew Lippa (The Wild Party), a book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice (Jersey Boys), direction and design by Phelim McDermott and Julian Crouch and choreography by Sergio Trujillo.
Prior to its Broadway premiere, The Addams Family is currently playing an engagement at Chicago’s Oriental Theatre at the Ford Center for the Performing Arts.
